The Energy Audit: What Stays, What Glows

When you begin paying attention to your energy, you start to see what supports you and what truly helps you glow.
Self-Respect Begins with Awareness
Self-respect often begins quietly. It grows from the simple understanding that your life, your energy, and your feelings matter. It shows up when you pause long enough to notice how something is affecting you. When a situation feels heavy, you give yourself permission to slow down. When something brings ease or warmth, you let yourself take it in without rushing past it. Over time, this kind of attention helps you stay connected to yourself.
Self-Care in Everyday Moments
Caring for yourself lives in ordinary moments. It is getting enough rest, taking a break when your mind feels full, stepping outside for air, choosing words toward yourself that are patient instead of harsh. It is allowing space when you need it and recognizing when your energy is being stretched too thin. These small choices build a sense of steadiness inside you. The more you respond to your needs, the more you begin to trust your own awareness.
When Self-Respect Asks for Change
There are times when self-respect asks for change. You may notice a habit, a responsibility, an expectation, or even a relationship that leaves you feeling drained or disconnected. Letting something go does not have to be dramatic. (I do not want you out there burning bridges!) Sometimes it is a quiet shift. You give less energy to what takes too much. You stop forcing what no longer feels right. As you release what weighs on you, your attention and energy return to what feels meaningful and supportive.
Building Your Inner Compass
When you stay connected to yourself in this way, your choices begin to reflect what matters to you. Decisions come from clarity. You feel more grounded in your values and more steady in your direction. This is how a strong inner compass develops and self-love grows. This is how you learn to keep what helps you glow.
The Energy Audit: What Stays, What Glows
This week, simply pay attention to your energy as you move through your days. No judgment. No pressure to fix anything. Just notice.
Notice Three Things
Where do you feel tension, fatigue, or resistance
Where do you feel steady, engaged, or at ease
Where do you find yourself saying yes when you really mean maybe or no
You are gathering information. Let your awareness be gentle.
At the End of the Week, Ask Yourself
What is taking more energy than it should
What feels worth continuing
What could be reduced, changed, or released
Pause with your answers. Notice what stands out.
Then Choose One Small Adjustment
You do not need to change everything. One small shift is enough.
Small changes create space. And space makes room for more ease, more clarity, and more of what helps you glow.
